10 Years ago - A pub in Wall Rose.

"Can you believe this Shit? The killer has struck again. This is the 13th kill alone this year." A man stated, as he and a few friends were served their beers by the waitress.

"We're scarce as it is and a human decides that they'll pluck us off - a gutless coward I say!" One of his friends shouted, slamming his beer cup against the wooden table, people in the pub turned, some nodding in agreement, others silent.

"What if it wasn't even a man?" A figure, having sat i the corner all night and ordered nothing but water all night, asked.

"What are ya on about?" The third and final friend questioned as the three turned to the caped figure.

"I saw it with me own eyes," the hooded figure began, as people turned completely, listening into his story. "It was tearing at the flesh of a young lass and that - whatever it was - was no human!" He explained.

"What are you saying, man? That there is a Titan, hiding within these very walls?" The man who had first spoke questioned, but the hooded figure said nothing more.

"Yah bloody milk-drinker," his friend mocked the hooded figure as people laughed.

"Let me tell you, I was in the Survey Corps! 10 bloody years of hell. Titans hunt only by daylight - this, whatever it is, hunts by moonlight!" The man spoke, taking a large swig of his beer as the people around nodded agreeing.

"Yeah, he's right!"

"It is a human - a criminal that must be brought to justice!" Another few people chanted.

"And yet, every attempt the Military Police has taken, has ended in casualty and death." The hooded figure stated as the room quietened once more. "You may call it whatever you want, a nightmare, a criminal, but whatever that thing is..." He paused, looking to his reflection in the water, swirling the contents of the cup.

"...it's not a human!"

(Time skip)

Present Day. Wall Rose, during the Titan outbreak and destruction of Wall Rose - Trost District.

"Ahh!" Cadets screamed as Titans attacked, grabbing onto them and devouring them, the sickening crunch between their teeth along with a splutter of blood, only frightening the remaining cadets that attempted to take them out.

The cadets still launched though, managing to cut the most of their names. One though, an Abnormal, around 13 Meters in height, had proven too difficult and had slaughtered a handful of cadets.

One cadet, a boy who had been training only the day before, backed up, the Titan approaching him, a disarmed cadet who'd fallen from the air and destroyed his 3DMG, but spared him, in the crash was now at the mercy of the monster.

A large hand extended out to grab him.

Seconds later, the Titan screamed in pain, its hands frantically scrambling for its back, only to scream once more as its neck was ripped into shreds, falling to the ground in a large puff of smoke as it started evaporating before impact.

The cadet breathed out deeply, having held his breath.

"Th-thank you so much, I don't know what I would have done without your-" but he'd frozen mid-sentence as his savior was finally revealed.

A large bipedal creature, coated in thick (F/C) fur was standing at about 7''6 ft tall within the evaporating Titan carcass, blood steaming off what appeared to be its muzzle and its paws. The creature threw its head back and roared loudly.

The cadets watched, frozen in place as the creature looked to him. He could do nothing. He was defenseless, but the beast's large yellow eyes just scanned the terrified figure before it. It grunted before running off down the streets of the district and out of sight.

The office, just after Eren's hearing.

"Do you honestly mean to say that his tooth has grown back this fast already?" Erwin questioned as Hanji nodded, still examining the boy before her's tooth.

"That's exactly it! Can you believe it? His healing rate is beyond anything I've ever seen!" said the mad scientist, as a glint appeared in her eyes. "Eren, can I have a sample of your skin, a finger maybe - we can test how long it'd take to grow back~" She gleamed with big bright eyes. The brown haired boy's own eyes widened, but for a completely different reason, attempting to back off in fear. Maybe, he could meld with the couch and escape her.

"Shitty glasses, don't you fucking dare!" Levi stated as Eren sighed. The corporal wasn't that bad, he guessed. "You'll get the floor dirty." Scratch that.

"Oh, but shorty it's all for a good cause~" The brunette smiled, as said man tch'd irritably. "Oh, you're no fun, short stack."

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.

"State your Name and Business." Erwin Smith stated clearly, turning from his position as Eren sighed, saved by the knock.

"It's Squad Leader Avery, I've got an important message for you commander." The voice answered.

"Alright, enter." Erwin answered as the door opened.

Immediately, Squad Leader Avery saluted to her Commander and Lance Corporal before turning back to fully face Erwin.

"Commander, it is urgent that you all come back to the court room as ordered by the Judge." The squad leader stated as Eren's heart skipped a beat in fear.

"Has the court decided something else?" The commander questioned, still remaining calm.

"No sir," Eren had visibly relaxed, "it is something else completely."

"Could there really be something more important than this right now?" Erwin asked as the squad leader shook her head.

"Trust me sir, you're going to want to see this." The squad leader insisted as the commander thought for a second and then finally, he nodded.

"Alright you three, we're going." He stated.

(Time skip)

Within the Court Room.

Erwin Smith, Hanji Zoe, Levi Ackerman, and Eren Jager walked into the court room.

To Eren, it felt weird to be honest. He was in this room for the second time to day, but this time he was in the stands, rather than the one on trial. A wave of slight relieve washed over him though, relieved that it wasn't him. He was knocked out of his pondering as a voice began speaking, the voice of the judge.

"On the urgent request of Military Police Commander, Mathew Rivert, I hereby open Court for his case." The Judge banged his hammer on the desk. "Court - in session."

"Thank you," the man presumably named Mathew Rivert explained as he walked forward, towards the center of the court. "I have brought you all here after the discovery of another monster hiding among us." He stated as the doors swung open and a person in excessive chains was walked into the room, (H/L)(H/C) locks of hair covering his face, but Eren knew the person instantly.

"(M/N)!" He looked shocked as Erwin and Levi looked to him.

"You know him, Jager?" Levi questioned

"Yes sir. That is (M/N)(L/N). He was a cadet at the Training Academy. He got split from the group after the Colossal Titan's attack, I hadn't seen him since." Eren answered, but his mind was on something else.

What had (M/N) done? He knew his fellow cadet had quite a temper and got into trouble a lot, but-

"What is this? Another Titan?" One man questioned, from the stands. A civilian.

"Close, but no. This the 'Nightmare' that has been killing the people of Wall Rose for just over a decade now," Rivert stated.

Almost everyone in the room gasped as the place went deadly silent and then - all hell broke loose.

"LIAR!"

"He's wasting our time!" Insults showered in from the civilian side of the court as people grew angry.

"What is he? 18-19 years of age, he would have had to have been no more than 9 years of age!" A lady stated.

"She is right. The 'Nightmare' was reported to be over 7 ft tall!" A man stated.

"You falsely accuse an adolescent because you were unable to find the monster yourself!" Another shouted.

"Order! Order!" The judged banged on the table with his hammer as the room gradually quietened. "I must say Commander Rivert, the people are right. This could not possible be the 'Nightmare'." He explained as Rivert shook his head.

"Honestly, I thought that too  - but I saw it with my own eyes. This thing showed its true form. A 7 ft wolf" He stated, and the room burst into sudden roars of laughter.

"He's an Idiot!"

"The sun has fried his brain!"

"He's got a screw loose!"

"That man - is a nut-job!" The crowd offended.

"I didn't think you'd believe me, but I have proof." Mathew Rivert stated, his voice getting about the volume of the crowd as they began to quieten again. The commander went into his pocket and reveled a black stringed necklace, attached to it - was an amulet.

"What is that?" Hanji questioned, attempting to get a better look.

"It's an amulet of some sort, Hanji-San. (M/N) always used to wear it, but never explained what it was for or how he got it. I do remember that he always got really defensive if someone tried to take it from him," Eren explained as Hanji looked back to him, then to the necklace in Rivert's hand.

"I called this court hearing for later in the day for a specific reason." Rivert explained, walking towards the figure as he tapped their head. The (H/C) male moved slightly as if beginning to wake up. "He was sedated when he was captured - you'd never believe the strength." Rivert explained as the figure finally awoke, lifting his head as Commander Rivert backed away slightly.

The male's eyes blinked open and closed rapidly as they tried to adjust to the lighting in the room before he awoke, revealing bright (E/C) eyes, full of confusion the cadet looked around.

"Wh-where am I? Wh-what happened?!" He questioned frantically, pulling at the chains slightly.

"You are within a Court Hearing, Cadet (L/N) or should I rather call you 'Nightmare'?" Rivert questioned, as the boy's eyes widened.

"Wh-what are you talking about?" (M/N) questioned fearfully as he looked around.

"Rivert, this is a waste of time. We have more pressing matters than to deal with your fantasies." The judge explained, about to have the meeting closed when the sound of grinding echoed through the room, the chains being forced against their will.

Everyone had eyes fixed on the center of the court room as (M/N) began pulling wildly at the chains, his boy shifting from side to side.

"Cadet (L/N), may I remind you that any escape attempt is punishable by death," one of the standing gun men explained, but the cadet ignored the threat, continuing to pull at the chains.

(M/N) twitched in pain as he looked to his neck - nothing! A clearing of the throat alerted him to the fact Rivert was in current possession of his amulet.

"I-I need the am-amulet back!" He growled, only to cough out.

"You have no right to demand anything as of now."

"Gi-give it back. I-I can't co-control it oth-otherwise!" (M/N) almost begged, but there was malice in his voice.

"Control what?" The judge questioned, rather than the standing guard this time. (M/N) looked to the judge, as their original (E/C) colour began to swirl and fade, fading into a bright glowing golden colour - the iris' thinning out into slits.

"Th-the thing th-that attacked W-Wall Ro-Rose." He answered, before a blood curdling scream broke through his mouth, and he coughed blood once more.

"Don't kid them now, (L/N). You are the monster that terrorized our streets for so long. Now, you claim it to be something else." Rivert stated.

"I-It's not my fault!" (M/N) barked angrily.

"The same as your mother and siblings deaths?"  (M/N)'s head shot up, a set of four fangs bared as he snarled at Rivert.

"Don't y-you dare!" He snarled.

"What are you talking about, Rivert?" The judge questioned.

"At the age of 6 and a half years old, (M/N)'s mother and two older brothers were killed. Murdered in fact, by the 'Nightmare'. What's to say that they weren't his first kill?" Rivert gave a rhetorical question.

"N-NO! I di-didn't I-I-" (M/N) growled, coughing out blood as the disks in his spine began to protrude outwards.

"Killing started when he was about 7, after his family died. What if he tasted human flesh and afterwards, he craved more?" Rivert asked again as the the civilians turned to (M/N) who could resist the feral snarl that escaped his lips.

"No! I-I lo-loved my fa-family-" He growled. "I-I di-didn't mean it!"

"What happened then?" The judge questioned.

(M/N) stared at the ground, remembering the memory like it was yesterday. As clear as day.
"Mu-mum had said n-never to take the amu-amulet off, but I did. It wa-was only for a bit. Everyone said it lo-looked stupid on.
"But, it went missing. I told her, but she got an-annoyed at me - and I shouted back, I cou-couldn't control temper - I lost control-" he froze, something getting caught in his throat- it was guilt.

"(M/N)! (M/N!) You have to calm down. Breathe out and and calm down!"
"NO! GO AWAY! LEAVE ME ALONE!" The boy screamed as he slammed his fists into the ground.
"(M/N) please, just calm dow-".
"NO! I HATE YOU! GO AWAY!!"
"(M/N)! (M/N!) AHHHHH!!!"

"...a-and they paid the price." His head fell, facing the ground once more, locks of (H/L)(H/C) hair, covering his face once more - the only way he could hide from all the eyes, currently locked on him, to hide the fact that tears fell freely from his monstrous orbs.

"He's telling the truth." Eren pointed out, talking only to Levi, Hanji and Erwin.

"How would you know this, Jager. You weren't there were you?" Erwin questioned.

"No sir, but once in a sparring match, he was training with Rainer, and his amulet got ripped off. Afterwards, he went completely berserk." Eren stated, the memories of the sparring match coming back to him. "I'm pretty sure he would have killed Rainer if we hadn't stopped him." Eren explained as he looked to his fellow cadet and then stared at the ground. "He's not a monster sir, he really isn't,"  the brown haired boy sighed, sadness in his heart.

Though, everyone's thoughts were interrupted by another sound, but this time it was a rage filled roar. Fur bristled from invisible paws on (M/N)'s skin, and the sounds of bones cracking soon filled the room as (M/N)(L/N)'s body twisted and reshaped, even his face reconstructed as he grew to in size and muscle mass.

In minutes, instead of a 5''7, (H/C) cadet, stood a bipedal wolf, about 7''6 ft in height as it stood to full height, reeling its head back and howled. It then looked around, golden yellow eyes scanned the room which was deathly silent now as people of all factions gazed with the same curious horror at the thing standing before there very eyes.

Civilians began screaming and shouting in fear, and then only did the beast begin thrashing and roaring, fighting against the chains as it launched for them, the only thing protecting them were the chains that bound it.

"Do not worry, the chains will hold. I know." Rivert stated, "but, do you see now," he turned to the Judge. "This is your 'Nightmare', a bipedal wolf, a beast of unimaginable strength and stamina.
"It does not know the difference between friend and foe. It is no different from a Titan! Yet is masked as a human - much like that shit!" he pointed to Eren, before continuing.

"This is why my father never caught your damned 'Nightmare'!" He shouted. "You mocked him and his men for years, thought them all crazy! Well, no more!" He stated.

The beast pulled at the chains, roaring furiously at the people around it.

"Give him the amulet back, it'll calm him down!" Eren shouted out suddenly.

"You have no right to speak, Titan shit!" Rivert stated as the beast pulled at the chains.

"Jager, quiet down before you get yourself executed as well." Levi commanded.

"But corporal...He's innocent." The three - Hanji, Erwin, and Levi - all looked to the boy in bewilderment.

"Eren's right though! That creature saved my life back in Trost." One of the cadets explained. "He destroyed the Abnormal Titan that would have killed my team."

"Foolish children, this is not a hero. This is a demon, sent from hell. No different from the Titans themselves. It would be better of destroyed!" Rivert argued.

"Rivert is correct," the priest agreed, "this beast is the 'Nightmare' that reaped havoc on Wall Rose."

"(M/N) is not a monster. Sure, he's reckless and struggles to control his temper at times, but he's also a loyal soldier, and he cares for his teammates. He'd do anything to protect them!" Eren shouted. "He's not a Monster!"

"Said one monster to another." Rivert laughed.

"Enough of this, I have made my decision." The judge stated, as the room quietened down, listening to him now. "Be he a loyal cadet or not, I am unable to separate the 'Nightmare' from the cadet, and therefore:- For the terrorizing and killing of countless of citizens of Wall Rose, I sentence Cadet (M/N)(L/N) to death."

At the news, people reacted different.
Citizens were thankful that the 'Nightmare' had been captured and was soon to be destroyed.
Eren, like the fellow cadets around, was devastated. He knew (M/N) wasn't a monster and yet, he was being sentenced to death.

The beast was dragged in its chains, out of the courtroom to a holding cell by the strength of 20 or so men as it barked and roared, scratching at anything its paws could get a grip of.

(Time skip)

Later on. A holding cell.

Eren sat in the court cell, lying on the bed. He was still thinking over the court hearing when the doors opened and two Military Police guards dragged Cadet (L/N) into the cell on the left side of Eren, before locking it.

"Welcome to the last thing you'll ever see 'Nightmare'." One of them laughed as the other joined in and they walked off.

For over 30 minutes, the two sat in silence until:

"Thanks by the way, Jager"

Eren shot up at the voice, shocked. "Huh, what for?"

"For trying to defend me back there...It took guts, after what you went through." (M/N) answered.

"Well, you do anything you can to protect a teammate." Eren smiled.

"You know, I really thought you'd hate me after that court hearing." (M/N) suddenly laughed, a strained one, but still a laugh. "Here humanity is, fighting man-eating Titans and believing their only protection is within these walls, and then I go and fuck that all up," he laughed still, but Eren could tell from the sound that he was crying.

"I don't hate you, (M/N)".

"Huh?" It was (M/N)'s time to be shocked.

"I have seen monsters before," the brunette stated, reminiscing a memory of back when he was younger "...and you are not one of them." Eren answered.

"Th-thanks, Jager. Th-that means a l-lot to me." (M/N) smiled through his tears.

(Time Skip)

Later that day, Eren sat in the cell, still thinking about the conversation he'd had with (M/N), who'd been taken off again for something or other.

"There is nothing that you could have done, Jager." A voice stated as the cadet looked up. It was was the stoic faced corporal, who walked towards the cell, sitting in a wooden chair opposite it.

"Am I suppose to sit here corporal, and say it's for the best. They're going to execute an innocent and good person...all because of a monster he can't control."

"That's how things work when people of high power become fearful. They kill what is different and more importantly, what they can't control." Levi stated.

"Then, how long do I have left corporal?" Eren questioned, as the corporal, having closed his eyes, looked to the green eyed boy. His face was visibly emotionless, but within his head thoughts raged about. He had no answer for the boy's question.

(Time skip)

Levi was sitting in his office. It was almost 3 days after the hearing, but only hours until the execution of Cadet (M/N)(L/N).
He hasn't really slept properly either. He was still plagued by the hearing, and even more - his conversation with Jager.
Though he had always seemed harsh on the outside, there was nothing more he hated than a pointless death and (L/N)'s execution was starting to seem like one.
He had seen the cadet in training and battle a few times before after being called to the Training Academy before. [(M/N) had joined training about 2 years before Eren, but his temper had always kept him back, only his determination to succeed had got him past that hurdle of temper].
(M/N) was pretty brave and a good, loyal soldier from what the corporal had observed.

The corporal was suddenly knocked out of his musing by the bursting open of his door as it slammed into the wall - Only one person in the whole damned universe would dare to do that.
"Shitty glasses, I swear, I am not in the mood for your shit today!" He barked, but the scientist still advanced even after his warning.
"This is important though, Levi. Look!" Hanji stated, as she placed the largest book she was carrying on the desk. The book released a large wave of dust the second it hit the table as Levi 'tch'd in irritation, using a cloth to wipe the dust from his desk.
"This better be fucking important."
"It is. I may even save Cadet (L/N)," Hanji stated as Levi looked to her curiously. "Well, I was reading through the archives. I got curious on what (M/N) actually is and, I believe I've found it!
"He's a werewolf."

Levi blinked. Once. Twice. Three times before "A what-wolf?"

"A werewolf, Levi. It's a creature that is mostly human in appearance, but is forced into a primal instinct driven beast at the light of a full moon."

"Like what happened in the court room?"

"Exactly, but what shocked me more was this," Hanji pulled out a piece of paper from her paper, smoothing it out as she lay it on the desk. There was a drawing on it. "It has the same marking as (M/N)'s amulet. It's called the Wolves-bane Amulet.
"It was believed to help werewolves to control themselves many many years ago. They could take beast form and go undetected from Titans who we know, don't eat animals.
"I found a journal i the archives with this piece of paper, it was written by (M/N)'s father." She placed the journal on the table to show him.

"What he write about?" Levi asked.

"His experiences." Hanji answered. "Apparently, Squad Leader (F/N)(L/N) found the last remnants of the tribe when he was separated from his squad after taking down an Abnormal.
"But, more Titans attacked, and the wolves saved his life, the only way they could think of - they passed on the wolf curse.
"(F/N) didn't know that when he had a child, they would be born a Werewolf as well. It says, he returned to the tribe for help. They gave him an amulet.
"The amulet would control (M/N)'s beast urges, as being born a Werewolf, the urges were said to be a lot more powerful. As long as he wore it, he couldn't harm a soul. (F/N) told only his wife and one other person about this, one of his best friends, back from when he was in the Training Academy"

"...and that is?"

"Sir James Arthur Rivert."

"Mathew Rivert's father."

"Levi, I checked. Once the 'Nightmare' began showing up. About 60% of the people it killed were people who had been diverging into the secret information about the Monarchy and the Walls."

"You telling me, you think they found something, and Rivert had them killed then, to hide the evidence, he had the people killed by the 'Nightmare'?"

"...but why kill (M/N) now? He poses no threat." Hanji questioned.

"To tie up loose ends and reap in the glory, four eyes. Mathew Rivert will be deemed a hero for destroying the 'Nightmare'. He'll gain residence in Wall Sina, no doubt. All he has to do is have (M/N) killed." Levi tch'd at the thought though, his hands clenching into fists, "his whole life, (M/N) has just been their pawn piece." He stated.

"Well, we can stop this, but we've got to move quickly, (M/N) has only got a few hours left!" Hanji explained as Levi nodded. The two grabbed the books and paper and left the room hurriedly.

(Time Skip)

The Judge's office.

Erwin looked to the judge, who was reading over all the information as the commander talked, haven been told the whole plot by Hanji as they had made their way to the court.

"I cannot believe Rivert would jeopardize the lives of those in Wall Rose for this." The judge rubbed his temples.

"Does that mean-" Hanji began as the Judge nodded.

"Cadet (M/N)(L/N) is pardoned of all crimes. As long as the amulet does as promised and he is of no threat - he is sanctioned to live within the walls as a free citizen." He answered as the three looked contently to each other, ready to break the news to the cadet.

(Time Skip)

Eren sat in his cell, his knees tucked into his chest as he fought the urge to cry.

"Hey Eren, what's with crying?~" Hanji chirped up as she looked through his bars.

"Hanji-San, what do you mean?" The green eyed boy looked to her with watery tears.

"Cadet (L/N) has been released of all charges. The death penalty has been dropped." Erwin explained.

"Wh-what!?" Eren asked, jumping up as he ran to the bars, well as far as his handcuff and chain would allow. "But they just took him for execution." The boy stated as the three on the opposite side of the jail were shocked.

"What are you talking about brat? Who!?"  Levi questioned.

"Commander Rivert and his men took him from his cell, Corporal."

"Levi." Erwin began, looking to said man, and the lance corporal ran off out of the room.

(Time Skip)

Meanwhile, cadet (M/N)(L/N) was on his knees on the ground, facing forward, his arms chained to the ground as he stared at the floor.
"Well, considering strangling you probably wouldn't work, we'll try the old fashioned silver bullet, won't we 'Nightmare'?" Rivert smirked, but (M/N) made no comment. "Oh come on, where's your bark, puppy?" The man mocked. "Seeing as you're going to die anyway, why don't I just tell you..." he began as his men looked to him.

"Uhm boss, maybe you shou-" but they were waved off.

"Quiet, me and the monster are talking..." Rivert commanded. "Deary me, they're so rude aren't they...Anyhow, wouldn't you like to know how your little amulet went missing that night? I mean, didn't you think it strange that it reappeared the next day, perfectly fine. Well, why would that be, hmm?" He questioned as (M/N) made no movement.

"Well, it turns out you're not the only mutt in your family that needs a muzzle," Rivert shook his head, "You father, yes. He slipped some news to my dad, about you, but he was going to destroy your potential - we merely put it to use~"

"Y-You were the reason my mum and brothers died!" (M/N) snarled angrily.

"Not that it should concern you now, you're already a dead dog," but just as Rivert went to fire, his gun was sliced in half.

"Mathew Rivert, you are under arrest for the conspiring and assistant of murder for countless people in Wall Rose and for the murder of Squad Leader (F/N)(L/N). You have the right to remain silent, anything you say may be used against you in the court of law." Gunther stated as Rivert went for his 3DMG, only to freeze, a blade at his neck.

"Move - and I'll cut you down where you stand!" A stoic voice edged with malice, stated as Rivert looked to the side, his men detained by two more Military police officers.

"(M/N), are you alright?" Petra questioned as she and Eld ran over to the cadet who coughed out blood suddenly.

"No," he began before looking up, bright yellow orbs and set of four canines extending from his mouth said otherwise. "H-He killed mu pa-parents!" He snarled, pulling at the chains as the ground around the chain's anchor began to crack.

"(M/N), calm down. We'll sort this out," but it was too late, the concrete gave in and the (H/C) male launched forward, knocking back Eld and Petra, his mind set on Rivert. He was stopped by Olu and Gunther.

"Hold it cadet (L/N). You kill him and you're no worse than him!" Gunther stated.

"H-He killed m-my family!" (M/N) snapped at them as he began to shift. "Th-the l-law fa-failed me once! It won't happen again!" Quick enough, the 7''6 ft werewolf stood, facing Rivert and the corporal, snarling angrily.

It launched as Levi threw Rivert backwards and unsheathed his other blade, defending against the beast.

The werewolf roared, only winning by sheer force as it knocked back the corporal, going for Rivert - now protected by Levi's squad - he was the target.

It would kill him! No matter what!

It grabbed the man's uniform jacket, raising him from the ground.

"(M/N)!!!" A voice screamed as the werewolf froze, having knocked Gunther and Olu to the ground. It turned around to see, it was Eren, Erwin and Hanji along with a few more soldiers, but Eren was holding the amulet. The beast snarled, in warning, still with claws on Rivert's jacket, inches from piercing through his skin.

"You have to stop. Control your instincts - Release him." Eren stated, the only one to walk forward as not to spook the beast. Hanji, Erwin and the other soldiers stood guard behind - ready for the worst. "You know I could become a Titan and we could fight, but I'm not going to do that - YOU need to calm down." At this, the Werewolf roared loudly at him.

"Yes, it hurts, but killing him won't bring them back - Trust me. I know." Eren sighed as the beast growled, looking to the petrified Rivert and then back to Eren as it growled once more and finally, released the human, letting him fall to the ground. Petra and Eld, having regained their footing, forced Rivert to his feet and handcuffed him.

Meanwhile, the Werewolf dropped to four feet, golden orbs looking straight at the brown haired boy as it walked forward. Soldiers raised weapons, but Erwin stopped them.

Eren placed the amulet back around the beast's neck as it growled. "Let's go back to the base, now." Eren stated, but the werewolf looked to him and lowered it's head. "What's wrong (M/N)?" The green eyed boy asked, but the werewolf roared loudly, causing everyone around to flinch. This was enough time for it to turn and run.

"(M/N)! (M/N)! - WAIT!!" Eren called, but it was no use.

(Time Skip)

"He was last seen climbing up and jumping over Wall Rose, Jager. He left the walls." Erwin explained as Eren sighed, leaning against the wall in his cell.

"So, he's gone, commander?"

"For now, yes."

Eren didn't say anymore, looking to the ground he was disheartened, feeling as if he'd lost a friend. The corporal looked to him

"Of what I know about them, wolves don't belong behind walls or cages - it is seldom that they ever find comfort." Erwin stated, beginning to walk away from the cell. "...but people have a habbit or returning to things or places that are comforting - Don't give up hope just yet, Cadet Jager."

The End.

Yes, I'll admit it Reader Inserts are a guilty pleasure I have, I enjoy how they make you imagine the life of another character, I have read some really good ones here on Deviant art.

A friend challenged me to write one as a writing task, and well this is mine...I mixed a random 'how it would fit in their world' werewolf theory for - OMG - Attack on Titan - and well, this is it.

The reader is only male, well because I have mostly male ocs and find them easier to write for xD

whelp, be nice first shot and all, constructive criticism welcome as always, enjoy
